Montage Deer Valley opened in December 2010 in the year-round community of Park City, Utah in one of North America’s finest mountain resort destinations. Reminiscent of the great mountain lodges of the West, this refined Mountain Craftsman resort promises a classic on-mountain getaway with true ski-in/ski-out access.

Montage Deer Valley is ranked the No. 1 ski resort in North America by SKI Magazine (2008-2012). This majestic edifice comprises 91,788 m² under a common roof, housing resort accommodation, spa, and residences.

Exterior Sheathing

Greater than 150,000 sf (14,000 m2) of GlasRoc exterior sheathing allowed Montage Deer Valley to remain uncovered for several months, withstanding extreme mountainous weather conditions including 300-400 ft (90-122 m) of snowfall.

Construction Products

CertainTeed's family of construction products provides a true building solutions approach, offering a single source supply for major components of the design. This project incorporated multiple product lines from CertainTeed, including drywall, sheathing, roofing, siding, and insulation.

Key Challenges

At 8,300 ft (2,530 m) altitude, Montage Deer Valley needed to be in perfect harmony with the majestic Wasatch Mountains. M2Tech Shaftliner offered a lightweight replacement for heavy masonry construction. GlasRoc EGRG Sheathing allowed the structure to withstand long term extreme weather exposure during four times the average annual snowfall.
